I am looking for a stock exhaust header system for a 1993 FXRP.
Why you may ask....
OK, so I messed up. I have a 93 fxrp with fairing and original paint very close to stock. The machine had a quiet competence. It was designed to chase down 18 wheelers and it was exceptional around town or up on the slab.
It developed an exhaust leak. The shop was good and the mechanic experienced and honest. He showed me the holes were the mufflers met the headers and a row of small holes along the bottom of the header. He suggested I replace the entire header system. It was my choice and I agreed to do it. He could only find one system that would fit this model.
The new system was so loud it rattled my brains. The bike went from quiet competence to rude. It set off car alarms as I drove by.
So, I tried to reverse engineer by changing back to stock mufflers.
Now it is quiet but I have lost the low and mid range torque.
I should have left well enough alone. So, I am looking for a Stock Exhaust header system for a 1993 FXRP. Hopefully someone who has one hanging in their garage.
