| The SE stuff is nice but the aftermarket typically works a bit better the SE slip ons are not much less restrictive than the stock pipes.
Having said that before you change pipes, have you done the air filter kit to get the air coming in to increase? At the same time rejet the carb or put on a Powercommander USB or DFO for EFI bikes. This is the best bang for the buck over stock.
Next step is to put in cams, then for TQ a big bore is a good investment. Heads are the next step.
If you've done the whole stage 1 then get your cylinders bored out and put in a set of flat top 9.5 to 1 compression pistons and a set of cams,
Kuryakyns tc2G are getting good reviews and if you don't want to spend the money to convert to Gear drive from the chain drive, Andrews tw-37B cams with a big bore, some head work and tuning will easily get you in the 95 to 100 range tq and hp. (With better pipes.)
Cycle shack and Khrome Werks, Vance and Hines slip on's all work well. |
