Just found the time to finish wiring through the bars on my 2004 Fatboy. I diconnected and removed the battery from the bike. Does reinstallation and reconnection require some reboot of the security system as the bike will neither restart or right turn signal function? I have checked and rechecked all connections. I did not splice but opted to remove the tank and disconnect the 6 pin connectors there. All leads and connections on the throttle side are clear and not pinched. Ready to ride otherwise. Thanks in advance,Scott

Check your diagram and your pin selection, you may have a couple of pins out of place in one of the connectors

I did this and had the horn on in the high beam slot and the horn would constantly blow when the high beam light was on LOL, also the horn rocker would flash the high beam LOL

Not hard to do you can be off one pin. Compare it to the sm. Sounds like the problem to me.

If you have a meter check the battery, you'll probably see enough to crank the motor over, so it will lead back to the connectors.

All other functions correct, 6 pin connector apart now, battery full charge, reconfirming all other electrical connections. Left side functions and console working. Since it's apart i'm going to go ahead and change clutch and throttle/brake assemblies to chrome. Still concerned about resetting security system after battery diconnect.

I did the exact same thing a few months back. Complete with my own set of gremlins when I put it all back together. I did not have to reset anything when I hooked the battery back up.

Even though the wire/pin may be in the correct place for the right turn signal it may not be fully seated in the connector so it's not connecting when you put the connectors together.

Pull the orange cap coming from the controls connector side and make sure the pins are all fully in the connector.

That should solve that, also your run or start pin might not be fully seated as well.
