Question Mikuni 42 tuning

I have a 93 lowrider with Mik 42, SE Aircleaner, Super Trapp Mean Mothers (competition baffle for the backpressure) and Dyna 2000 SF ignition. Does anyone know the needle and jetting I need to make or is it a hunt and peck following the tuning guide from the book? Just checking experience first. No great time pressure since I am stuck here in the big sandbox until June. Thanks for any 2 cents and Semper Fi!

Watch out for the sand, some of it bites.

In order to get tuning dialed in, you have to consider altitude, temperature and the engine setup. A lot of carburetors like the Mikuni are close out of th box but, to get them spot on you need to do a plug chop or two or throw it on the dyno.
Check out our FAQ for some tuning tips.

Thanks CD, From reading the tech tip, I like your suggestion better than the ones recommended in the manual. Looks like I will at least have an excuse to open it up, (Like I needed one!) I bought my Mikuni from you and wondered if you sell individual needles and jets?
