| The Vance and Hines specs say that the Bigshot Satggered will not work on the '05 FLSTNI with optional saddlebags. Is there a reason why? They appear to be below the axle bolt and the saddlebag bottom is 4" above the centerline of the axle. From the pix it does not look like they will interfere at all. I have looked at a lot of pipes and these are the ones I want to get.
Please let me know

| I guess the question would be, what kind of bags are you using? There are so many different types of aftermarket bags out there and all with different dimentions that you SURELY will find a set that will co-incide with the exhaust application. We're not in the dark ages of customizing your bike anymore! |

| I am using the HD Deluxe bags right now and I am assuming those are the bags that they are referring to in the specs. I was looking to find someone thats either installed them before or at least knows why they won't work. The bags came with (2) 3/8" round stock brackets that I did not install as the bags are extremely light and the support bars seemed unecessary. If the support bars are the reason the pipes won't work then I can install them without the bag supports. |

| V&H says the bag mount bracket mounts to the same point the exhaust bracket does so their bracket will not fit correctly. There may be a way to modify the bracket or fab a new one but then, it is your pipe.... |

| Thanks, thats what I wanted to know! Since I am NOT using the mounting brackets for the bags, the pipes will bolt up with no interference.

I've since changed them to Drag Pipes so I can't just go out and look at how I did it. If I remember correctly I was able to just use a longer bolt that captured the exhaust bracket and the saddle bag bracket. I'm sure there was no special fabrication involved. |
