| I am back riding again after a long while.
I have a VTX 1800s. The dealer/service dept has told me NO synth oil until the bike reaches 12,000 miles. This lets all the parts wear-in. And Not to put in a K&N air filter. The factory settings won't benifit from the extra air flow and that you only need to service the paper air filter about 20,000 to 30,000 miles. Lastly, use only honda oil filters. The other filters have ben blowing part due to the oil pressure of the bike.
I don't need to change things for the sake of changing. The bike has plenty of power, maybe it needs diffrent seats, bags, shield. The stuff that makes it more trip friendly. If anyone has had experance with any or all of these questions I would say thanks for any insite and information. |

Also on warranty and consumer protection. |
