Could a person build a set of "cross dresser" pipes from a set of stock FLT pipes by eliminating the rear to front pipe cross pipe and using the existing rear head pipe. And would it help to size up the rear head pipe to 2" for better flow with the sharper turn? This would be easy for me to do with the new exhaust pipe kits now on the market. Thanks for you suggestions. John

i would keep both pipes the same, so flow would be equalized. if you are just looking for true duals, remove the rear pipe where it goes into the Y pipe on the right side. insert a freeze plug and silver solder it in place. reinstall and you have true duals. the gasses can only go to the plug and have to exit on the left side. an old trick that has been around quite awhile...
