Hey I have an 01H/D XLH 883 the tension spring brake in the primery case for the shifting , I replaced the spring in there and spend the rest of the day trying to get th dang ting shifting , upshifting ok , but downshifting HA is another thing 5/4 ok 4/3 TAP dance 3/2 aa 2/1 ok but sometimes it may not be there . I know it may have too BE a timeing Thing but I don't have A good brake down of HOW to FIX this an yes i do have the right tranny oil in it thank's Leo

the best tool in your shop is a service manual.....it will get you on the right track........
