Hello out there, I need some answers to a few questions on up grades to a 2006 Road Glide EFI. When people talk about a stage one does that mean you are talking about true duals, big air kit and a Powercommander. Or could it be slip-ons big air and a PC. If you go with the slip-ons do you need the other two items? I would like a little more power and still have the reliablity there. My dealer told me that the true duals are not rite for the EFI, they need back pressure and the bike will back fire and miss not run rite is this true? I heard the screaming Eagle slip-ons and they sounded great, but I don't know if the power is there. Also what is a good set up for this bike as far as pipes,Power Commander and big air. Still winter up here for 6 weeks but the bike comes in on March 25. Would like to have this sorted out by then. I would appriecate any "bin there done that" or any advice to this or if you have a Road Glide what are you running. Thanks again.

Rick

Stage 1 is free flow air filter (ness big sucker or SE), power commander (since you have EFI you will need to change the fuel map somehow), and FREE FLOW PIPES. I have a 2004 E Glide Standard with EFI...and I would LOVE true duals, but out of my price range right now. I have Slip ons. I have never dyno run my bike, but the "seat of the pants" numbers tell me that I picked up some HP and Torque. From what I have been told, if you want the BIGGEST power jump, you will get a 2 into 1 exhaust system. I personally like the looks of 1 pipe on each side of the bike on a bagger, so I will sacrifice the power. True Duals can be tuned to some degree to make them work. Ask around, from what I understand, true duals with Hooker tuneable pipes can be made to work VERY well (what I would REALLY like!! but not sure wife will let me go for it anytime soon!!! ) Good luck!

Check out Rinehart duals, I think you will like them for your set-up and they are quite recommended with the "dual" riders, K&N rk-3909 air kit, (SC & Ness are not K&N), and the PCIIIusb.

The really odd thing is that K&N is not what it used to be either. There are several brand labeled (Edelbrock, Holley, Ness, Force Winder) that offer excellent quality screen gauze filters. One was actually made at the same place K&N was....wanna guess which one?

You've got me? When I installed my supercharger (vortech) in my car, I had it dyno-tuned with GIAC software and we tried two different types of filters on my CAI, K&N and a look-a-like-but cheaper... Dyno numbers dropped 6 hp. and yes, we tried several runs just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. I was completely sold then... Back to your question, no I don't, but are the specifications the same? I think proprietary would get in the way don't you?

by the way CD, you've got great prices and I've got your site "plastered" on our "info-board" at work... by the way, I work for Boeing here in Long Beach, there are still quite a few of us left here and some have already made orders on your site! Keep up the great prices, you've got a customer for life
