I have a 2005 HD Road King and I am thinking of replaceing the seat! What do you think of the Mustang Seats? They are made in the USA!

I had one on my Wide Glide. They are fantastic seats. Rode all day and never got sore.

The only thing about the one I had on the Wide Glide is it raised your seating height up a bit over stock.

But the fit and finish back then was exceptional and I am sure it still is.

The best thing I've bought for my Fatboy was the Mustang Wide Vintage solo seat.....hours of riding and no butt pain. You won't be sorry.

It's the best seat I've ever owned. Beats my old Corbin any day. Can ride long days without getting saddle sore. I've got a solo touring seat on my Roadglide.

I have put 5000 miles on my RK since replacing the stock seat with Mustang and have been extremely well pleased. My wife will ride with me now. She couldn't stand the original pax seat.

30 years ago, my comfort wouldn't have mattered so much. Gravity sucks.

Good choice. I bought my Mustang touring saddle from directparts four years ago at a nice discount. It made a tremendous difference in the comfort the wife and I experience on any ride longer than one hour. For a peek at how they look on a FLHT, have a look at my pics. FYI...this is the 17" wide touring saddle with the 14" wide passenger pillion; and matching backrest pad.

I just bought that same engine guard (look's the same) for my softtail. It's been so friggin' cold up here the last couple week's I haven't even gone to the garage to put it on yet. I only wanted it for the extended peg's as I'm an old bag and my legs cramp up a lot when riding .
I'm hoping a Mustang seat can help with that too!

Thanks for the compliments. Actually my crash guards don't look like that any longer. One of this years projects was converting that into an oil cooler....while I had it off the bike, I had a buddy of mine powdercoat it black for me; along with the rear guards and handlebars.

A couple years ago, I laid the bike over on the right side in a parking lot when some b*tch cut me off. The crash guards took all the punishment; which only ammounted to some scratches in both guards on the right side. So while I had them off, I filled the scratches with J.B. Weld and with the new paint, you can't tell it ever happened.

Sounds like them things saved you some money what witht the hardbags and all. It may be that you weren't travelling too fast, but still.

I have owned five street bikes, four of which were Harley's(I currently own a 2004 Road King Classic). And after trying out several top name brand seats I have found that the Corbin seat has been the best for me. Keep in mind that everyone will have there favorite seat or tire or oil. So what I suggest is to try out different seats. Most of the big rally's I've been to have had the factory seat reps, on hand to let you sit on there seats. Hope this helps, Ride Safe, David.
