Question

Errr, Ahhh, Lumber sensor? Does it sense wood?

If you mean oxygen sensor, it would depend on the bike, not the pipe. If the bike has EFI and is closed loop then yes, get a bung welded in.

Since it has the O2 sensor, it is at least semi closed loop EFI. Have a bung welded in as close to the same position as the stock one is.

Hey c.d.,
Back in the 80's Volvo used to have a emblem on their grill "LAMDA' meaning the vehicle was equiped with an oxygen sensor.Maybe thats what bandit 88 mean't.Just my two cents.
