Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have a good charge on my battery Headlight is nice and bright. Out ridin make a stop come out bike does not turn over, Give it a kick and fires right up. Ride a while make a stop come out turns over and fires right up. Ride a little while longer make a stop come out bike will not turn over give it kick fires right up.

I am thinking it is cylinder placement when I stop bike. If it didn't start on first kick i would try the key. Well any Ideas from the pros out there would be a lot of help.

check to see if the relay is grounded good, mine did the same until I ran a ground wire from the relay and also the soleniod to the grounding lug on the frame, helped mine a lot, now all I have to do is to replace the regulator, its not charging enough and the stator has the correct output. Mine is a 1980 FX shovelhead.
good luck and the time need to run these grounds is not much and easy work to do.
