| Got a 04 Fatboy and plan on doing all my future service and repairs. Would like to purchase a service manual. Dont want the Clymer or Haynes etc.....would like an original Harley repair/service manual. Have found several on the internet but am looking for the best price. Before I bought one of those, thought you fellas may have an ideal where a guy could get the best price. Thanks for your help. |

| Well, unless you can look at it first, be careful. A friend of mine bought one off the bay and someone had spilled coffee or something on it and some of the pages were stuck together....Ya might try and see if theres a used book place in your area. If so see if they can locate one for you. That way, the dealer that has it will guarantee condition. I broke down and bought the manual for the 06 Dyna at the dealer cause it will be a while before theres many used ones. Fortunately my dealer gives ya a 15% discount for purchases made within 30 days of buying a new bike. Don't sound like a lot but with the list for the manual being $58.00 that 9.70 helped. Of course I don't think he figured I would be using his discount to take him out of the service loop...<Evil Grin> Bought that and a dozen oil filters and I could almost hear him start to cry........ |

| thanks Greybear. The one I was looking at is "supposed" to be a genuine Harley service and repair manual for 52 bucks. Hell .....if I can get one from a dealer for 6 bucks more, thats probably the way to go. Thanks for the advice. |

| I recommend purchasing the o.e parts supplement book as well. This can be a helpful addition to your shop manual with the exploded view pictures & part #s.
Hope this helps...00 wildglide. |
