yap, killer B is right. When I bought my deluxe, I shop all the dealers here in SO. CAL. And also it depends on what upgrade you want.

I bought an '06 Street Bob in February. the dealer was asking List +$1000. I worked with 3 dealers and let them work against each other. I wound up paying MSRP and they bought the FW controls ($300). I also got 15% off any parts/accessories I bought in the first 90 days of ownership.

It pays to shop around, especially in the off season. HD has upped production enough that the delaers aren't able to get as much premium as they could a few years back.

Question HD mark up

I was wondering how much the dealer gets the bike for? I know there is a big mark up in the price of parts some suggest high as 100 percent. It helps to get a head start on the dealer especialy in north al. thanks Doug

Thumbs up mark up

Shop around and when you find something, go back armed with the figure from the N.A.D.A. or any other like book. That will give you a little room for barganing!!! That's what I did (used bike), and I got a good deal. Peace...

Thumbs up Hd Mark up

Get yourself a N.A.D.A. price book so you can go on in there armed for battle. Generally if they know you know, they'll bargan. It worked for me when I got mine (used)... Peace...

Curious?!?

Hey Chucktx, if you don't mind me asking, what did the electra cost, or if that's asking too much, what was the difference from factory to retail? Are we talking a HUGE number?
