I put one in my 99 softail and it worked great, its not as good as the new system that harley puts on but I noticed an improvement. Not sure why its not working for ya. I am sure you didn't put it in wrong it was easy to put in.

the onley thing i can think of is adjustment on the cable if you turn out the stop screw on ez, and lossen off cable you get an easy clutch but harder to get in gear, which sort of defeets the object.

Are you talking about the EZ clutch as in the one that changes the leverage in the tranny side cover? Or, are talking about an AMP poswer clutch that attaches to the clutch lever?

Okay, it is an AMP Power Clutch and works like a mouse trap clutch. You will need to adjust the cable adjuster so that there is very little free play at the end of the Power Clutch where the cable now goes in. That will give you full release on the clutch. The idea on this unit is an over center design where once you get past center, effort is reduced.
