I'm having a hard time seeing the two dots for the rear cylinder,to make sure it is timed right,any ideas on how to veiw it better,The front one is very visible.I've tried to paint it but it doesn't seem to help,I use the open hole plug in the timming hole,it seems to work better than the clear plug,just have to hold it in tight so I don't get sprayed with oil.

try a small dowl rod or simmilar with some emerycloth. try to rub it in the holes to brighten them up a bit. i have cleaned the area with laquer thinner on a rag...let dry and used a paint stick to mark them with also. hope this helps

I replaced the "lobe"in the mechanical advance,Now I can see the dots,think the other lobe was cut wrong.
