ok CD...my 02 carbWglide runs great.when the idle speeds up after the bike is warm..kinda but seems too fast for me could be slower...I need a happy medium but gotta keep the oil flowing....
ALSO
when I shut it off and come back to start it,I'll get a pop/spit a little throught the carb...what up? the needles/jets are new, could the choke be on a bit? how could I check to see? when it starts I get just a light puff of black after this spit has happened ..does not play a roll a hundred times, but every now and then it will happen ...I had the same thing on other HDs. Never bothered me but figured I 'd take a shot and see what anyone might know.

the air cleaner is brand new and the I have no tach..I think the characteristics of the engine is one of the valve is still open(when shut off) and the spring pressure is pushing on the rocker and push rod so the oil goes back down..then the valve closes at that point the bike has gotta build up oil pressure again(no biggie) once started, and there is air in the cylinder.
So when it goes to start it takes a stroke to get things uh-rollin so to put it...I think by slowing down the idle a bit it will also help it out. I think this is it..maybe not but it is a characteristic of the bike..was hoping to find someone that might have a trick to use to help out. thanks though.
