| FLSTC Brake Pedal Would like to improve the brake pedal position for my wife on her Heritage. Put a Corbin Close Solo on and now she feels that the brake is awkward to operate. I was looking at the Kuraykyn brake pedals. They have two extended pedals. One is their 'Extended Brake Pedal' (KY-1027), and the other is their 'EZ Brake' (KY-9039). The EZ Brake is about twice as expensive as the Extended Brake Pedal. I don't mind paying the extra if it is worth it, but if the cheaper one works well, then I can spend the extra on taking her out for a nice dinner. Anybody compared/ or had experience with these products?

| I bought the 1027. The confirm shows it as PN KA1027. I bought it here for about $80.
My feet are too big so I was sliding it under the pedal all the time (not too safe). It comes with everything you need and even has a grease fitting. I'm happy with mine.

| SkyKing hope you like it. I had to remove the foot pad for some reason, I forget why. I think it's because the cotter pin was sort of bound on the pin to the linkage and I couldn't get a grip on it. Otherwise would have been a quick job.

| Girder Style Extended Brake pedal In a effort to save money I went with the Girder Style Kuryakyn pedal. I also have a Ness chrome brake pedal cover. The Kuryakyn pedal is a lot thicker than the OEM, so the brake pedal cover did not fit, without about an hour of pounding and modifying it to fit. Although, it will never be stolen, because I would have to cut it off of the brake pedal to remove it. The extended brake pedal has an odd angle to it compared to the OEM. So now my boot only covers the bottom edge of the brake. Not much of a problem unless my feet are wet, then my foot slips becasue it's not hitting the rubber on the pedal cover. Looking at the pictures of the Extended and EZ-Brake pedal, the EZ-Brake looks like it's in a better position for the foot. I don't think the EZ-brake is a Kuryakyn product, they just carry it on their site. |
