Wheel fitment

I tried to search for this but I came up empty. A friend of mine has two take off wheels from a 15th anniversary Fatboy. They are chrome Fatboy wheels. Will these fit on my 1999 Fatboy? I have the non chrome ones and these would be a nice upgrade.

I thought I read somewhere that I might have to swap over some of my hub parts or something.

Any help would be appreciated.

Wheel spacers may be the only thing that comes to mind.

I mistyped in my original post. My bike is a 1999. The donor wheels are off of an anniversary addition. A 2003 I believe. I don't know where the hell I got 15th from. It should have been 100th. I guess I was just spacing out at work.

These rims were never used. They were removed from the bike before it was taken out of the show room. I am also able to get them for next to nothing.

Wheel Fitment

In 2000 Harley went to sealed bearing and larger diameter axel, 1" I believe. Your 99 has 3/4 axel and raced bearings repackable I believe the hubs are the same just change the bearings in the 03 wheels might have to cut a new spacer also........I've made a fatboy wheel and a 80's Vader wheel off FLH Classic work for my heritage.........Hope this helps............Good Luck.......Rob.

Thanks Rob,

That does help a little. As long as I know it's doable fairly easily without having to go to a machine shop or anything.

Thanks,
Dave

Axle is different size,

You can change axle and lower forks to the larger diameter like on the 03's or change the bearings and race on the wheels to fit 3/4.

I think I will choose the ladder. It sounds easier and cheaper. I have a Fatboy so there is a lot of extra tin on there.
