| ok guys here we go........that thing of giggy on the side of the whatma call it...............i dont know propper name of what things are called so i will give it my best shot.....
i lost my clutch on the way home tonight......no notta, the motor ran great but no movement, when i finally got it back to the house,
i pulled of the clutch cover, and there was a plate with 4 bolts in it,every bolt was loose, the olny thing holding them from drooping out was the clutch cover!!!!!! so i tightend the 4 bolts down and wow. i had a clutch again?
here's my question???what kind of locktight should i pick up to prevent that from happing again??? and do they have to be torqued down to a certain # of pounds??? the clutch feels so tight right now when you pull on the lever, but i am afraid if i back them off they'll just come loose again???
thanks TRG |

TRG, I would get your manual out before just tightening down the nuts and adjust your clutch. A properly adjusted clutch works great. Yes, you should lock-tite them down with a least the blue lock-tite. |

| thanks you'll
i will use the blue locktight.
a buddy told me to start at 6lbs and check it......8lbs max for the torque on the bolts...........
he aslo said that after i torque them down, to loosen the nut in the middle, and tighten the ajuster screw till there is no play, then turn it back 3/4 of turn, and tighten that nut to 10 lbs......
then put the cover back on, and dont mess with it!!!!!
does that sound right??????

| When you go to adjust the clutch with the center nut loosen the clutch cable and give it some slack first. Then adjust the center nut and then go back and adjust the clutch cable. |
