| A buddy of mine has an 06 Stretglide. We removed and reinstalled his fairings without any special tools. There were some difficulties but it can be done with some perseverance. |

| moe, the special tool he was refering to is used to remove the ign switch so you are able to getthe plate off, so you can get to the allen screws holding your bars. if you have your service manual, it will take you through the steps really well. the special tool is a small screw driver to hold a tab while turning the key.....it is a cakewalk...if you use the steps in the service manual.....which is the BEST tool you can own

| Chuck, that's the best advice yet. The service manual for your bike IS the best tool you can own. It is indispensible in your shop when working on your bike. At least it's one tool that's always available. |

| HEY moe, If I was thunkin with half a brain I could have faxed or sent you a copy of the method, and you could have been done by now. so if you don't get your manuel let me know and I can copy the section you need. |
