Flht 2006 - Headlight Issue

Hi, Im located in the UK and to trave l all over Europe in the Summer months. On the older machines I have owned the headlight has had the deflective pattern to deflect the beam etched on the outside of the lens. On my new Glide I notice the lens is now smooth and the chrome inner is now etched to reflect the beam.

My question is how do I now tape out the part of the beam that will now shine into the eyes of oncoming drivers when I leave UK and then ride on the right?

in my opinion, i would adjust the left/right screw on the headlight. i would do this in a darkend garage, with sombody sitting on the machine, holding it upright. watch the beam on the wall (you can put an x at the hot spot). turn the adjusting scew until it is where you want it. count the turns of the screw driver. when returning, just turn the oppisite way the same number of turns. you should not have to remove the trim ring to do this. a slim phllips should do it just fine, and only take a minitue or two....hope this helps.
it should also keep tape residue off the headlight, which could inhibit vision
