| in my opinion, i would adjust the left/right screw on the headlight. i would do this in a darkend garage, with sombody sitting on the machine, holding it upright. watch the beam on the wall (you can put an x at the hot spot). turn the adjusting scew until it is where you want it. count the turns of the screw driver. when returning, just turn the oppisite way the same number of turns. you should not have to remove the trim ring to do this. a slim phllips should do it just fine, and only take a minitue or two....hope this helps.
it should also keep tape residue off the headlight, which could inhibit vision
