883 To 1200 Kit

When You Do This, Do You Have To Hone The Jugs For The New Pistons. I'm Thinking About Doing It Since The Kit Has Droped Under 200 Bucks. Is It Any Harder Than Doing A Top End Job. Something A Person That Is Mechanicly Inclind Could Do Fairly Easy?

i havent done a 883 to 1200 and i am not sure what comes in the kit..... i would think that some head work needs to be done, maybe some cam and definatly some timing work. also the carb will need some attention, also the exhaust.. as for honing, yes it will need it and the ring gap and fitment will also need to be addressed...a pretty straight forward deal, should be no problem. depending on what you recieve in the kit will determine what steps should be taken during the exchange. hope this helps....

883 to 1200

The October issue of American Rider had an article about this. Written by joe minton. If memory serves me it costs about $400, doubles hp and tq is more responsive and drives better than a stock 1200. I built a hi torque 95 tc based on his recommends and couldn't be happier. this guy knows his stuff. Its ALL in the TORQUE!
