| Sticky Throttle Hi, my accelerator is sticking. any ideas. 2006 softail, have tried friction control screw, doesnt make too much difference, but is getting worse.
am wondering how to lubricate it without pulling it to p[ieces..if possible |

| Hi Jens, and welcome to BikeTalk. Can you provide some additional info, such as any modifications made to the bars or aftermarket cables? Also, is this a EFI or cabrureted model?
Throttles can sometimes stick if the cables are binding or too short. Also some aftermarket grips and/or bar combinations can stick. When I installed a set of fat beach bars I had to grind down the chrome surface of the bar's throttle end which was plated too thick.
You also might want to inspect the spring return on your carb/throttle body.

| one other thing, the service manual shows how to lube the cables...best tool in your tool box!!
