Carb Problems

Just had my 98 evo remaned from Harley. Completly stock engine with cv carb with a thunderslide kit. Just installed a Kuryakyn Hypercharger 9990 for evo big twin. Took it out for a test run. Seems when I really romp on it gas is comming out the Hypercharger. Brought it home and pulled the trapdoor off and reved it a couple of times. jet is pointed at the thunderslide and fuel is going in the carb throat but alittle seems to be sucked back towards the K&N filter. Anyone got any ideas to head me in the right direction?

If it is running rich it could be what they call gas wash cleaning all the lube off the valve stems and causing them to stick and leaking. Thats just a old school thought. Some times a frish motor will do that.If you have solid lifters there no valve clearance. There is some sharp guys here that can give you some help just stick around. Later Ole Ted.

hey glenn, welcome to the forum....this question would be better answered in the tech section, but i will try to help....the stream of gas from the acc.pump should be hitting the needle directly in the center of it.....not off to one side or the other.....it can be adjusted by carfully twisting it in the direction it need to go.....let us know how you make out........
