Fuel injected model has both a cold idle and a hot idle adjustment behind air cleaner backing plate. The hot idle adjustment can actually be made through a hole in the backing plate without removing it.
Carb model has idle speed adjustment which can be reached with air cleaner still on and using a long skinny slotted screwdriver.
Best investment you can make for your bike is a service manual for $40 or $50.
