| MID-USA offers a kit that has many different bent pipes so you make your own pipes if you have any fabricating abilities then have them cromed or leave them just as they but then you would have to clean them with wd-40 and scotch brite |

| They may have changed the exhaust ports some with the 04 and up models. If I remember correctly, they did some head work and raised compression that year to bring up the horsepower a bit; along with the larger gas tanks and rubber mounts for the motor. |

| thanks sea hag, thats what i wanted to know, if they bolted to the heads, i was willing to make or fabercate brackets to make them work as long as they bolted to the heads....sounds like they wont though...

| I would call vance and hines and ask them the reasons they won't fit, is it exhaust position or mounting brackets, if it's the later then you can get the pipes and have a custom mount braket made up.
The first response is probably "they wont fit" but press on nicely to get the person to ask engineering why, tell them you will buy a set if it's only a mounting bracket issue and make your own.
Engineers are into stuff like that most bike people are into helping someone fix the problem. ::: Vance & Hines Performance Exhaust Systems ::: |

| thanks roadking,
i actually called vance&hines with the help of your post, they (vance & hines) told me that harley made a frame change as well as engine changes.
so i will just keep those ugly stock pipes with the cross over tube, till i find somthing i like......
