I want to put fully show-chromed upper and lower forks on my 02 FXST...I found a great deal on a new pair of new forks. I know that they are 41mm like mine, and that the the caliper mount is different but adaptable, but does anyone know if there are any more differences such as axle diameter or triple tree mounting?

Just a thought here Kurt, I would go to my local HD parts counter and if it ain't to busy I'd get them to look up some part #s for me. The guys at my shop are usually very helpful with stuff like this. Tell them exactly what you are trying to do and they might be able to help you out. Remember they are just like you and I and are also trying to do stuff like this to their own bikes

Hope this helps,
Tom

That was my first thought, but they are not the most helpful people when you are not buying all of your parts at their counter. I was hoping that someone here may have the answer for me. I have tried looking up the various components in different catalogs, but there is so much missing information to make the right choice.

I believe the axle diameter is different, so you'd need a new axle nuts etc, then you'd need to swap bearings and spacers out in your wheel to match up to the new wider axle.
