Cruise Control not working on 2003 Ultra

I just purchase a 2003 Ultra Classic. The cruise control does not work. Any ideas where to start?

Electrical first. Got a manual? If not, just check to see if any other accessories are failing, pull/check fuses and check/disconnect/reconnect splice connectors (especially those under the seat). One other thing I have found is the connectors on H-Ds need to be cleaned at times. Vidration or dust or just plain corrosion causes disconnects.
Good luck.

The thing that I've found on most inoperative cruise controls is the switch in the idle cable. The things that will disable the system are either of the brakes which will shut it off or the switch that is activated when the throttle is rolled back to the stop. The switch is located on the right side of the frame neck just in front of the fuel tank and is part of the idle cable. When you turn on the cruise switch do you at least get a red cruise control light in the speedo? That will at least confirm that there is power going to the module. A fairly concise trouble shooting chart is in the electrical diagnostics manual.
