you'll need to use oil thats made for bikes. as far as what kind, just do a search of this site and you will find a wealth of info on oil(s) which after reading should answer any possible questions concerning oil for your bike. oh.... welcome to the forum

FWIW you should use a 4 cycle air cooled or vtwin labeled oil
20W-50 is the normal weight.

HD 360 is dyno oil
Mobil 1 Vtwin is syn

depending on how you ride or what you ride (ie stock vs stroker) Mi vs AZ etc you can run any oil made for your bike.

Syn will generally keep the temps down 10 to 20 degrees over dyno

There were a lot of folks runing mobil 1 automotive when they made a 20W50, and many run Mobil1 syn 15W-50, the formulas between it and the vtwin are dang near identical.

I think chuck is trying to say that the great oil debate has been
going on for about ten years now and forget every year new people
join the flock. Use a synthetic what kind is up to you. plenty of
ideas going around and alot of scare tactics. Mosts people will tell
you they stay with SYN3 do to the high dollar extended waranty they
buy the with bike. They won't tell you they use it because it is good.
Good luck, it will take awhile but you will find the right oil.

Thumbs up

Let's stop talking about oil... I use Dino oil on my EVO and will always do that. Works for me... Who cares what people use... Hell use vegetable oil if you want...
