if not going to be riding for awhile and have leather bags. don't let em be empty. pack em full. also watch overtightening the straps this i believe can contribute towards collasping

fill your tank full as possible and add stable fuel stabilizer
change your oil and filter, run it and parkit refrain from running for short durations as moisture will build.

Remove the plugs, a good squirt of oil or wd40 in each cylinder and turn the engine over a couple of times to spread it on the walls. Then reinstall the plugs. But before any of the storage suggestions, take a good final ride (at least 25 miles to warm everything up) and then drain and replace all of the fluids while thy're good and warm so you remove all of the contaminates.

move further South....once far enough, storage will be a week or so at most at a time for that one or 2 weeks of too cold/wet weather that you don't want to ride in!

the best way to store a bike is not to store it. with global warming just keep riding. they're calling for a mild winter

Thumbs up

Last winter I rode year round, except for one day that it snowed and I didn't feel like risking dropping her...
