The other day we had the seat off of MY daughters 04 sporty , & right there on the rear fender was a piece of clear plastic , looks to a peal & stick , to help protect the fender from rubbing the fendre raw, Does anyone know where I can find some of this stuff? I don't need much about a 4X4 piece
Thank's

wally world.....craft section, hobby lobby, most craft stores......kroger, shelf liner in clear.....to get it to lay down with no creases or bubbles, spray the fender with a solution of a llittle dishsoap and water....once ya get it like ya want, let it dry before handling.......

Thank guys , I plan to use it on my E Glide rear fender just below the T light , I'am going to hang my tool bag off of my Tsignal bar & don't want it to rub all the paint off , That's why I was just starting to look , might have to his the wal mart , & look for the peel & stick

Good idea Cowboy. I've got signs of a little rubbing where different size seats have left their mark on my 2003 Sporty's rear fender. I'll take a look and see if a well placed piece of clear plastic might prevent further scuffing.

The stuff you are looking for is 3M paint protection film, it is very durable, but pricey, I would be very leary of putting anything on it but 3M, the cheaper stuff will yellow and get brittle, I am conmtemplating putting some on the tops of my saddlebag lids so I wont scuff the paint if the OL would happen to drag her feet while getting on, you can google 3M paint protection film, and you can also fid it on ebay here is a link to the 3M store
3M eStore: Scotchgard Paint Protection Film
