I have a 2002 flhtci bagger. I am running a stock ecm, screamng eagle breather, PC-IIIr and the Hooker True Dual exhaust with the mufflers turned out. I now have them tuned to 50% baffled (thanks CD). I am running the generic dynojet map and produced 73 HP and 85 ft lbs of torque, relatively flat across the rpm range. This was prior to adjusting the mufflers to my current setting. I have not had the bike dyno'd since the adjustment. I previously had the pipes set to its most quiet setting "max torque".
Since adjusting the mufflers to half-way between max torque and max HP I have noticed an improvement in acceleration, and what I find odd, is a reduction in decel popping! I always thought that by setting the pipes to max torque (basically on bafflel only) the popping on decel would be less. Since dynojet has set this map with one pipe set to max torque and the other to max rpm, setting both pipes in between has dramatically improved the performance of my application.
I really like the FAT look of the True duals. The best part of this application is I have an "old man's bagger" that has great 2 up performance, and sounds like a small block chevy V8 running fresh glasspacks!.
BTW, If you look at the HP gallery on another popular site, you will find that the Hooker True Dual, stepped header and muffler performs right at the top with its competitors.
