Vibrator

Purchased a '06 road king police model, used with 1700 m. Initially run great. Developed an intermitent vibration especially noticable at idle and low rpm. Would smooth out at 3000 rpm. But most crusing was in the "vibration" range. Seemed to come and go for no apparent reason. The salesman told me when I bought the bike (if a salesmans lips are moving he's lieing) that it had a stage 1 down load. It did have the stage 1 air can and screaming eagle mufflers. I since put V&H true duels and rush mufflers with 2 1/2" baffles as one of the eagles had a hole in it. Added a power commander and downloaded the recommended map. Problem still exisists. Been to 3 garages 1 HD, 1 power commander center and 1 private. Get 3 different answers and no solutions. However my wife is smiling more lately. Had 2 dino runs. Mechanically engine is sound. Anyone out there had a similar problem and solved it I would really appreciate some advice. Replaced the front mount, primary chain adjusted and shoe replaced with no change in problem. Thanks, Jay Jay

2 things come to mind, first check your front motor mount, very common for them to break, 2nd check your compensator nut, they are very prone to coming loose but usually make noise along with being loose but maybe it isnt that loose yet. Todd

Another thing, the 06 bikes had 8 degree injectors and had a service bulletin out on them to switch them out for 25 degree, this probably has nothing to do with vibration but it would definetly improve your running, It is possible they have already been changed but you should check and make sure. I would double check all the mount Bolts ,I have A 03 E glide X cop bike did all the changes you have & no trouble But when you go from a shovel head to a TC 88 it's like going from A 72 VW to A new pickup , Is your drive belt set right I did here A story from A guy with A X cop bike from what he was saying it sounded like you & he said the drive belt was a bit to loose , but read your manual for the right spec's you dodn't wat it to tight eather
good luck & let us know how it comes out for you

I will almost bet this is a motor mount. It happened on my '97 Electra Glide. Once replaced, the motor hummed in harmony.

vibration

It usually ends up being related to your motor mounts being worn or loose, but then again if it puts a smile on your wifes face, why fix it??
