FLHTi rear air shocks

I'm still learning about the ins & outs on this bike.My question is:how much air should I have in the rear shocks w/hard bags filled & medium sz. "T-Bag" on the luggage rack.No passenger.
Some people I spoke to said;12-15psi...seems high to me.The owners manual matrix chart recommends 10-15psi for a solo rider/gear(does not really state info about gear).I rode the bike a few hours ago with 13psi in the shocks & felt terrible.I'm 170lbs. if this helps.Other than this,I love this bike! Thanks in advance for any thoughts or comments,00 wildglide

I fiddled with mine on the Road King until I got tired of it. Seems I could never get them adjusted satisfactory for me. The bike seemed to waller going into curves. So my solution was to $hitcan them and replace them with Progressive 440's, problem solved. Al

I about 180 & with the wife on & rnu 14lbs , just kinda work out your gear weight as a exta person & & start out about 9-10 lbs , also are you useing the little shock pump from HD , as a regular air hose can blow your shocks out real quick

Thanks Cowboy,
I have an older pump made by PROGRESSIVE SUSPENSION.The thing about this pump/gauge that puzzles me is the lowest increment seems to be 5psi even though the gauge has a "0".I may buy a new one from H-D.
I saw some shocks from "Legends" suspension...Wow!$!$!$!...maybe stock is o.k. for now.Talk to you latter,00 wildglide

The Progressive 440's ain't cheap either. What i like about them is you can adjust the firmness on the road without any tools. AL

I normally set up the rear shocks at 10PSI for a new bike going out the door. Most customers come back and want a little more air in them for 2 up riding. On my own bike I run 12-15 psi solo but I weigh 230. Don't know what to run for 2 up as I don't have a rear seat on my roadglide.

I have a Harley pump that's 3 years old and took a sh*t. More quality Harley products...But if you have a compressor at home you can use it. Just set the pressure to 20#'s and fill er up. Adjust as needed. I read a post on another forum that someone had tested the air shocks to over 100#'s with no problems.

W T F Chucktx is absolutely correct. There is no way that the air from my
ebay bicycle airshock pump can possibly be as good as the air from the HD
pump. There is something about that Bar & Shield logo that just makes everything better. What was I thinking? $40 air vs $17 air...I am not worthy!
