Miss Firering

What exactly is it ??? My bike is running kind of weird when im riding at a steady throttle. It sort of feels like it is fluttering here and there.

"misfiring" is caused by an erratic spark at the plug. the causes are numerous....

did you use stabil in the gas, sometimes they will run like crap with that stuff

Drain the carb and tank if carb, put in fresh fuel, check plugs and plug wires, make sure they are ok,

Welcome to the forum Jake. Misfiring can also be the result of a bad vasectomy, Sorry couldn't help myself. As Chuck said, the reasons are numerous. Did you put a fuel stabilizer in the gas tank when you parked it for the winter?

if the tank wasn't full in storage then condensation/water could be the culpit. the water will tend to linger around the pickup you could try dry gas then run it out, but if it's efi and keeps mis-firing could result in throwing a code; a PITA. the best way is to drain the gas like others already suggested. draining the gas is a PITA too

Drain it and refill pull the fuel line off the carb and drain the gas, then pull the plug off the bottom of the carb or bowl and drain and clean it out don't fubar the float.

if i were in your situation i'd drain it. where you would normally find a pet-cock you'll find the high pressure outlet and hose. at both ends of this hose are quick releases. the one coming out of the tank you simply slide the chrome collar up. at the efi unit end is the squeeze type, be carefull this end is easy to break and will be the end you'll need to remove to drain it that way by turning the power on and the fuel pump will do it. Or you can disconnect that side of the transfer tube and let it drain. which ever you feel you can do safely. good luck, and have fun. you'll get it
