If you install the Progressive Suspension 11" shocks it will lower your bike about 2" at the axle, a little more at the rear tip of the fender. I make this statement with the assumption that your stock shocks are 12 1/2". You will need to get the heavy duty ones if you have a passenger aboard most of the time.

I had the 411's (I think that's the model number) on my Dyna but have heard that the 440's are well worth the extra money. I say "had" because I took them off. Lowering your bike's rear end in that manner will seriously change the ride and the geometry of your bike. I didn't like the change. You might.

All in all, the Progressives are much superior shocks to the stock. But, I will probably go with a 12" or 12 1/2" when I buy a new set to try and keep the bike's handling and lean angle where it is with stock.

If you call the Direct Parts sales staff, they are knowledgeable and will give you great info about this subject.

Good luck and be safe!

don't forget your trail will change, also I know of someone who lowered their wide glide same year as mine(02) and they scrape the road in a few turns. Not sure if that will affect you due to your riding style and style of bike, but the trail will change, I am not sure how much but this site can help ya find out.
