Post 2001 superglide front end change will this work

Hello fellow Bikers, 1ST post. looking to change front end from narrow glide to wide glide. My issue is I am looking to buy an ultima wide glide front end, The problem is that the part is made made for a superglide up tp 1999.From researching the difference i've noticed the difference between the two years are the 1999 front end head bearings are not sealed and have greasefittingon the neck, while the 2001 are sealed bearings. My question is can I change the head bearing to fit and put a grease fitting on or will this be a problem? will there be any other problems that someone may have some info on. also the reason for not buying a front end for my year is $$$. This front end fully chromed inverted forks is on sale for 550$ vs. 1200$ I'm also getting a run around from the stealerships. Sorry to have a punk ass attitude but only respond if you have any knowledge on the issue. Thanks Rick

Bering And Neck Stem Should Stay The Same, I'm Assuming Your Saying That Instead Of Having Cups The Neck Is Bigger With The Races Pressed In? If This Is The Case You Should Be Able To Just Put It On The Same As The Other, They Compensate The Lenth Of The Neck To The Same As If It Had Cups In It. Also Another Place To Look For A Front End Is Demon's Cycle Inc. I Bought A 8 Over With A 3 Deg Rake Wide Glide For Mine For 395. The Inverted Styles Run About 495. looking back at your post agian, are you just trying to replace the trees or hole front end? those prices i told you are for a complete front end, ready to mount and go.
