| I am looking into buying either a '96 DWG or Springer. Both owned by the same person. Due to health issues the owner has not ridden them since '99. They have been sitting since. Very low mileage, if I were to buy one I currently believe I need to clean out the tank, carbs, change the plugs/wires, tires, oil/filter, and battery. Could I be missing something? Outside of dust covering these bikes are in very nice shape aesthetically. I can do all this work on my own.
I currently ride a '97 Honda Magna and want a bigger bike. With a baby on the way I can't afford to go out and buy a newer bike so I thought I would go this route.
Any input would be great. Oh and I can't decide between the two, what would those here go with? |

I like the looks of the Dyna over the ST. Be fun to buy both trade the fronts and sell the STWG LOL. It is all personal choice on what YOU want Krull, either should make for a fine ride.
Oh yeah chuck forgot something |

| Depends On What Kinda Ride'n You Do, Jmo, If You Do Alot Of In Town Stuff I Would Go For The Wg, If You Do Alot Of Miles Ride'n I Would Go With The Springer, Although You Can Do That On The Dyna, If They Are Both Being Sold At The Same Price, I Would Defenitly Buy The Springer, Which Probably Holds More Value Than The Dyna. |

| The dynas going to be the smoother of the two with the rubber mount motor, the DWG is a great bike.
Then again I like the look of the springer front end...
Dynas probably a better buy and should be the least expensive of the two.
I'd change out fuel both tank and carb, oil, plugs, charge the battery and give it a start, if it fires right up take it for a run |

| It's possible, depends on where it was stored, todays tires have much better compounds than decades ago, it would be worth checking out though. |

| How much??? Too bad you can't ride em both to see how they feel to ya... I personally like Softails, but that cause of the height issue. Best of luck... |

| a friend has a 93 wide glide , it's a very smooth bike. running down the road it runs so smooth you have to reach down and touch the engine to tell if it is running. trhe trans shifts as smooth as silk. i wish my 03 fxdx was half so smooth. |
