Help needed with XL1200 enrichener cable replacement

Hi all,
First of all, let me say that I DO have the factory service manual. That being said, I guess I just want a confirmation of what I think I need to do to replace the cable. The service manual doesn't address replacing it, just adjusting it. From the pic in the manual, there is a fitting on the side of the carb where the cable goes in. As far as I can tell, I need to remove this fitting which will allow the cable as well as what it connects to internally to come out of the carb. Is that all there is to it? Simply remove the fitting, cable and the internal component, change the cable and reverse the disassembly procedure and follow up with the cable adjustment?

Thanks in advance, please don't flame me for asking a "dumb" question, but I have always been taught that the only dumb question is the one you don't ask. I figure it is easier to ask ahead of time how to do something than to ask how to fix a major snafu.

Thats about right,

BTW pick up a parts manual as well, it has all the exploded diagrams of every part of the bike, and you can pick up how things go together better in most cases.

Plus if you need a part you have the number. Easier to order stuff then.
