I finally finished the installation of my new Wild1,inc. "575" bars on my FLHTi w/all the pretty cables & stuff yesterday.I took her for a short ride & found that the Street glide mirrors I had installed last year are now useless.I know I could probably tilt the bars down some towards me but this position feels the best for me.I really like these mirrors & if removed now I'll have the holes showing on the inner fairing. Does anyone have any ideas of how to modify &/or reposition the mirrors so I can keep them instead of going back to my stock ones?BTW,These bars are great!,just enough height & pull back for my short ass arms . 00 willdglide

don't know what your mirrors look like, but just a guess change out the stems. if your oem mirrors work, use those stems. that is if your mirrors are not 1 piece.

The mirrors I have now are o.e. Streetglide(inner fairing mount type)mirrors. These mirrors do not have metal-5/16" studs at their base.I'll probably end up using the originals & plugging the holes in the inner fairing. I thought I would get away with a portion of the mirror being blocked but,it ain't gonna work. Thanks for responce,00 wildglide.

I'm thinking about mounting some small surface mount tweeters in the space where the mirrors were.I'll do what ever it takes,I want to know when the A-HOLE in the cage is about to skid in to me.
I must say this handle bar swap was pretty expensive, labor intensive,& all worth while when finished.I found out some interesting ways I could have save $$$ & replaced less parts doing this project(of course after I finished the job! ).If anyone is going to change out their FLHT bars & wants some money saving tips, send me a message.00 wildglide
