Just an FYI. I bought a Terry Components 1.6kw starter. It does not fit because the hot lead into the starter interferes with the magnetic pickup on the tranny. After scratching my head and uttering a few choice words i realized that my engine and tranny are offset 1" for the belt to clear the frame. That 1" is enough to cause the interference. I was told that I could install a sensor on the rear wheel but that was too much work. I returned the starter (lucky they took it back) in exchange for th 1.4 which is not as lengthy as the 1.6, |
