Cable to digital speedo conversion

I ride a '98 Electraglide with a front wheel speedo drive gear. I'm tired of replacing the cable and/or drive gear every 8 to 10000 miles (currently showing 60000+). Does anyone know of a conversion kit which eliminates the cable with an electronic speed sensor. I know about Dakota Digital but from what i've read their units adapt to cable drive units. Any info would be appreciated.

tried many

I maintain my bike. I've used a variety of products on the speedo. 30wt oil and a product called "LUB IT" has worked best. The speedo is the only cable I have issues with. It usually breaks at the drive gear on the wheel. After my last episode on Thursday, the drive housing actually exploded. I suspect the drive gear has been the cause of my cable failures due to seizing up. I applaud your long lasting cable. Perhaps they just built them better back then.
