Can I weld on my Sportsers frame and not hurt any of the electronics?

Gas welding would be no problem as long as you do not get the heat to high on the electronics. Arc welding, Mig and Tig welding all use electricity and can damage the electronics unless you isolate them. Removing the battery removes the positive connection so that might resolve the issue but I will have to defer to any of our members who know more about welding for the facts.

Disconnect anything you can but, my worry is WHAT are you welding? If you are just adding a little tab for mounting a tissue holder, OK. But, if you are repairing or modifying the frame, you might want someone who knows about stress and heat relief to do the work. Last thing you want is to have your frame break while going down the freeway, eh?
