| miss fire I’ve got a similar problem with my 01 Lowrider.
When this happens my speedometer jumps from the speed I’m going to 0 & back again.
I’ve tried unplugging my speedo & tach, didn’t help.
It seems to be worse at high humidity levels.
I’m thinking electrical ... coil or plug wires perhaps.
I haven’t chased it down yet.

I haven’t chased it down yet. | Sounds like a loose connection or bad ground, check for loose terminals or corrision in plug connectors.

I haven’t chased it down yet. | And another thing to check would be the vehicle speed sensor on top of the tranny, they are known to get metal fuzz on them(on the magnet) and do goffy things. Todd

| c-v carb It sounds like your burning to rich. To ajust the air on a c-v carb you may have to remove it.There is a small plug over the top of the screw. Iv seen service manuls on ebay or less then 40 bucks. |

Clean the sensor as Duke said they get filthy, and if it's really bad, try putting it back in and pulling out right away bet it picks up more metal fragments, do that couple of times, and change over to a good synthetic gear oil, Redline Heavy shockproof works great sticks to the gears like nothing you've seen and will reduce the metal shavings. Plus it quiets down the gearbox, shifts smoother etc.

Check out the manifold gaskets at the heads and at the the carb mount. If they are OK it could be the idle adjustment screw |
