| I have adjustable push rods in my 1340 and want to know if they adjust the same way as the older push rods. They were installed at a harley shop when they put a recon engine on the bike while I was in Florida. they seem to make some noise when the bike is hot. I have about 16000 miles on the recon engine. |

| Prolly the front exhaust givin you the ticks, you may have to go another 1/2 turn out on it. Find out what brand of rods they used,'cause they seem to have different thread pitch on em. Set em to zero lash and let the hyd lifters bleed down( about 2 beers) then 1/2 turn, the front exhaust always seems to need a lttle more than the specs say. |

| Good morning Lucifer,
do you know if this applies to the TC88B engine as well? My ride is 2001 FLSTCI and I get the ticks after the oil excedes 70 degr. Celsius. This occured with new Feuling lifters and also with stock ones, all after conversion to geared 26G cams. Pinion runout is ok.

No, I don't know, but in the twinkies the front exhaust rod isn't at as steep an angle as the Evo's. I haven't heard anyone mention it, I thought the more vertical pushrod ended that little problem.
Could be the gear driven cams tho, they are noisier(gear noise) than the chain driven.  |
