My winter project is to install a gear drive cam in TC 95.
It's a 95 cid 2004 FLHR. It has a SE 204 cam, SE piston, stock heads, HSR 45 carb, and SE Ignition.
I know there are lots of opinions out there. So I'm soliciting.
I ride solo 99% of the time as my wife has a Heritage. I do carry a lot of crap when I travel, but it's probably not as much as riding 2 up. My wife does on rare occasion ride with me.
I'm leaning toward the 26G. I put the 37G in my wife's FLSTC, and she's real happy with it. Local Indy shop recommended the S&S 501. Even though I tour a little, around town is where most miles are put on as it's my daily rider(although I plan to retire next spring and change that ratio).
Next...I plan on installing my self. I understand that checking crank run-out is important. I do not have a dial indicator to accomplish this. Is there a reasonable source for what I would need to measure the run-out?
I'm sure I could find all these answers buried in the past posts somewhere, but just asking again is way easier.

Thanks
