Is it possible to upgrade an EVO engine from 80CI to 88CI?

Sure just bring your checkbook

I believe S&S has a kit using sportster pistons that have a shorter skirt and a stroker flywheel to increase the displacement.

Lots of labor in that job, if you can do it yourself then you save some green.

Best bet is to look into selling your motor, getting the bucks and then buying a motor like an EL Bruto 113 or 100 or a Rev Tech. JMHO.

You should be able to get $1500+ for a stock evo if it's not worn out from someone wanting to build a bargin chopper, and an El Bruto 113 is about $4K, so net cost is $2500 more or less depending on how well you bargin on both ends.

It is possible to go from an 80ci to an 88ci but the problem will be the price. In order to do the change you will have to take the motor out of the frame and then have the lower case machined out to allow the bigger piston to be able to complete the downward stroke. The piston actually goings into the lower case, that is why it will need to be machined. And with the machining it will cost a few dollars. I agree with hotroadking when he says to just bail out on the 80ci and buy an S&S or equavalent motor. Ride Safe, David.
