Hi all. Question. I have bought but not fitted a Arlen Ness stage 1 Big Sucker and Khrome werks 2.5" slip-on mufflers for my 07 FXDB. My dealer tells me not get a power commander, just fit the two and run her, see how she feels. I was under in impression that you must fit a PC in order to get the right F&A ratio. What do you guys say.

| If you just changed pipes you could possibly get away without the PC,that's what I did. But since you are adding more air in and out and those bikes are pretty lean to start with, you'll have to add more fuel to the mix. Funny he didn't try to sell you a SERT.  |

Lucifer, Hi. Thanks for advice. Reason for my asking the original question is that I've seen a second-hand PC 3 (3mths old) for sale, a lot cheaper than new, however, its a Vance & Hines PC, can you still use this V&H pc with Khrome Werks mufflers or do I need to buy something else?? if so what is recommended.

| Yeah I would think you could use the V&H fuelpak, as far as quality of it ,I really don't know. I'm still a "babe in the woods" as far as efi and and aftermarket modules go, but from what I've gathered so far the Power Commander PCIII is very good and you can recalibrate for future mods.
You can use the search function at the top of the page to try to find out more on the V&H unit,try typing in V&h Fuelpak, or someone else here more in the know may chime in.
But you will need to fatten up the fuel mix when you put the freeflow breather on or I think you would risk burning a valve, these new bikes are way too lean and hot outta the box. | |

Keith | Keith, the PCIII is made by Dynojet wich is owned by V&H, a V&H fuel back is different. If the PCIII is for your year and model then I would go with it. The overall performance that you would achieve from a proper download map would be worth it, IMHO. Also if you decide to change the pipes or do some other modifications on the scoot you would be ahead of the game with the PCIII...

| The pc111 is the way to go unless you have the extra big pockets for the thunder max , I have had the PC 111 for a few years now & all is good with it
