| 1997 Dyna-Conv front wheel swap I'd like to install a Harley p.n. 43733-00 front wheel on my 97 FXDS-CONV. The factory doesn't offer this wheel (or any other front wheel) for a 97 and I'd like to know what I need to change to get this wheel to fit on my 97. Anyone got any ideas?
In case you may be wondering why I'd like to change wheels, it's because I have a P.O.S. Performance Machine wheel and calipers on it and the chrome is peeling off in big chunks. This bike has never been run in salt and has always been kept clean and in warm winter storage. Thanks in advance. |

| i'm not sure, but getting the right bearings to fit your axle, and getting the right spacers should do it. some one who has more knowledge will jump in and help out.

| The wheel I want to install is a Harley Lightning Star part number 43733-00 and is available for a 2000 FXDS but not for the 1997. Is the bearing and axle size the difference? |
